Nishine Lure Works BABY Chippawa

Nishine Lure Works’ BABY CHIPPAWA is a bite-sized compact crankbait designed for situations where the regular-size Chippawa feels slightly too large. Despite its small body, it is easy to cast and delivers a strong swimming action, with user-friendly performance designed to make you want to keep casting. The blade mounted on the belly produces flash and metallic contact sounds in addition to the body action, while also generating a hunting action. The blade can be removed as needed, allowing the lure to be used as a standard crankbait without it.

The BABY CHIPPAWA RB Blade measures 52 mm and weighs 9.4 g, with a diving depth of 0.9–1.2 m when used with 16 lb fluorocarbon. It is suited to quickly covering shallow water. The BABY CHIPPAWA DD Blade measures 53.5 mm and weighs 11.2 g, with a diving depth of 1.8–2.1 m, allowing you to trace deeper water than the RB. Both models feature fixed internal weights and a hand-carved design. Removing the blade increases buoyancy, allowing you to adjust your presentation with snag resistance in mind when fishing around snag-prone cover. The standard setup is a NISHINE Original Snap #0+ paired with an Ichikawa Fishing Kamakiri Treble #7.
