Nishine Lure Works Simcoe

Nishine Lure Works’ Simcoe 75 and Simcoe 75HW are vibration lures developed as slim-bodied, lipless crankbaits that imitate shad, one of the primary baitfish species in North America. Both feature a fixed internal weight and a non-rattling design. The standard Simcoe 75 weighs 16.1 g, while the heavy-weight Simcoe 75HW weighs 24.1 g. Their sink rates are set at 0.7 m per second and 1.05 m per second, respectively.

The line eye can be selected from two positions: front and rear. With the front F position, the lure swims in an almost horizontal posture and is suitable for fast retrieves. During jerk-and-fall or vertical presentations, it produces a darting action from side to side. With the rear B position, the lure swims in a more upright posture, producing stronger vibration while helping reduce snags and allowing it to pass more easily through weeds. By combining the weight and line-eye position, the lure can be used for everything from steadily retrieving through shallow weeds in water less than 1 m deep to jigging in deep areas exceeding 10 m. The standard model is primarily suited to retrieve-based fishing, while the 75HW is designed for long casts and deep-water fishing, taking advantage of its faster sink rate. Ichikawa Fishing Kamataki Treble hooks #5 and an original snap #1+ are included as standard.
