Nishine Lure Works Chippawa

Nishine Lure Works’ Chippawa is a crankbait series developed with a compact, easy-to-cast body designed to run consistently at the intended depth range. Its distinctive fat flat-sided profile and fixed weight produce a quick-starting, tight-wiggling action. The standard Chippawa RB combines an injection-molded body with a circuit-board lip, designed to maintain its posture when contacting cover. The Chippawa RB Blade features specially designed internal weights and an original blade, tuned to retain the lure’s natural action while adding blade flash and metallic contact sounds.

When equipped with its blade, the Chippawa DD Blade tracks straight with a slow retrieve and produces a weaving action with a fast retrieve. Removing the blade allows it to be used as a straight-running, diving crankbait, letting anglers change the type of attraction according to the conditions. For bottom knocking, it is tuned so the lip is less likely to dig into the bottom, while its powerful action keeps it swimming even when contacting weeds or debris. Designed to target deeper ranges, the Chippawa XDD uses an extremely long lip on the same 62 mm body as the original series, achieving straight, consistent casts despite its fixed center of gravity and a tight action that dives to approximately 4.2 m with light retrieve resistance. All models are intended to be used with the included snap, while the blade models allow the action and level of attraction to be adjusted by attaching or removing the blade.
