Rapala Floater Elite

Rapala’s Floater Elite is based on the proven silhouette and action of the original floating lure, while offering improved casting performance, durability, and finish quality. Its natural baitfish profile is crafted from premium balsa wood and combines the familiar “wounded minnow” action. The increased weight compared with the previous model makes longer, more accurate casts easier, while the forged, flat-profile, one-piece through-wire construction provides added body strength. The body features high-definition patterns and a metallic gill face for a premium appearance.

Designed to float, the FE85 is intended to run at depths of 3–4 feet, while the FE120 is designed for 4–6 feet. It performs from extremely slow to fast retrieves and can be used for both casting and trolling. Each model differs in body size and hook configuration: the FE85 measures 3-1/4 inches and weighs 3/8 ounce, with two No. 10 hooks, while the FE120 measures 4-3/4 inches and weighs 3/8 ounce, with three No. 10 hooks. Equipped with VMC Inline Hybrid Treble 2X hooks and heavy-duty split rings, these floating minnows are designed for working shallow water and can handle presentations that incorporate changes in retrieve speed.
