Lucky Craft’s FCC Sammy is a pencil bait based on the Sammy 65, offered in Justace-exclusive colors. Despite its compact 65 mm body, it delivers the long-casting performance pursued throughout the Sammy series, along with an easy-to-control walking-the-dog action that responds to a consistent rhythm. Its distinctive body shape slides laterally as it rolls from side to side, scattering light in multiple directions and creating a strong presence on the surface.
The head features a surround chamber that responds to even subtle water movement, while the built-in glass rattle generates sound. In addition, the cup-shaped mouth produces splashes and popping sounds with short rod movements. The basic technique is to make the lure walk by tapping the line slack rather than pulling the lure with the rod. It can be worked at a brisk pace to cover a wide area, or given short “twitches” to make it dive and entice fish while limiting forward movement.
