Megabass POPX is a popper developed to deliver delicate control and lifelike presentations in topwater fishing. Its uniquely shaped Hydro Cup and the Water Duct inside the cup take in excess water flow and release it behind the lip, producing a natural sound distinct from the typical popping noise.
Inside the body, Megabass’s proprietary Side-Stepping Balancer creates a rolling dog-walk action that responds sensitively to rod work. With light manipulation, the lure turns its head while covering minimal distance, while variations in twitching and rod-work intensity produce multiple actions, including ripples with strong water displacement and spit-like splashes. The Water Duct also helps stabilize the dog-walk action and is designed to make the lure less likely to roll over during high-speed retrieves in saltwater.
This 64 mm, 1/4 oz. floating model is equipped with #6 hooks at both the front and rear, with a teaser hook on the rear. After the lure lands, anglers can vary the presentation by incorporating pauses and adding subtle head turns with fine twitches, or by creating splashes through continuous rod manipulation.
