Bomber Square A

Bomber’s Square A is a crankbait featuring an angled square bill, designed to run through fallen trees and heavy cover in shallow water. The beveled corners on either side of the bill help it deflect when contacting obstacles, making it easier to work horizontally around cover. It has a wide-wobbling action, and the official catalog lists both the Size 4 and Size 5 models as diving to a maximum depth of approximately 3 feet (about 0.9 m).

The lineup includes the 1 5/8-inch (approximately 4.1 cm), 1/4-ounce (7.0 g) B04SL and the 2-inch (5.08 cm), 3/8-ounce (10.0 g) B05SL. The B04SL is suited to quickly covering shallow cover with its compact, lightweight profile, while the B05SL is suited to casting around fallen trees, taking advantage of its larger profile. The basic approach is to retrieve it steadily after casting, making contact with cover as it comes through, while adjusting the course based on each model’s diving depth. According to the official catalog, the B04SL is equipped with #3 hooks and the B05SL with #6 hooks.
