Hideup HU-70

HIDEUP’s HU-70 is a floating shallow crankbait with a diving depth of approximately 70 cm, designed around “bite-inducing cranking” using the riser technique. Its body design is thoroughly focused on casting distance, making it easy to cast even in strong winds and rough conditions. The compact body weighs approximately 8.6 g and combines buoyancy calculated primarily around its shape, producing a “riser action” as it transitions from retrieving to floating upward.

Its relatively high buoyancy is designed to help avoid structure. In addition to a steady retrieve, pausing the retrieve around obstacles and allowing the bait to float can produce irregular movements created by the body design. It can be used with a continuous retrieve as well as with pauses that allow the bait to rise. In shallow cover and areas with uneven structure, pausing after the lip contacts an obstacle allows you to use the bait’s buoyancy to avoid snags while continuing to draw strikes. It is primarily intended for targeting shallow water while taking advantage of its standard floating configuration. Unlike the HU-70 Super Deep Attack, it is not equipped with a sinker replacement mechanism.
