deps TREBLE HOOK/OUT BARB is a treble hook designed for confronting monster-class fish with big baits and big pencils, with carefully selected geometry and wire diameter to enhance penetration and strength. Its out-barb design, with the barbs positioned on the outside of the hook, helps the line untangle more easily if it becomes wrapped around the hook, helping reduce line trouble.
Available coatings include a fluorine coating, which offers low contact resistance and makes it easier to penetrate the upper jaw with less force; a tin coating, which provides strong rust resistance and helps maintain the hook point even in saltwater; and black nickel, a smooth, corrosion-resistant dark finish that is less likely to alert fish. Choose the coating according to the lure being used, fishing conditions, and the performance characteristics required. Sizes #3/0, #2/0, and #1/0 are available, accommodating hook replacement and rigging for large plugs. Even with a corrosion-resistant coating, rust and corrosion can occur if proper care is neglected, so appropriate maintenance is necessary after use.
