deps’ HUGE PENCIL is a magnum-sized topwater pencil bait measuring over 200 mm, developed for targeting record-class bass. Its massive body generates powerful vibrations, while its surface action, reminiscent of baitfish fleeing in panic, stimulates the predatory instincts of fish that did not respond to big baits swimming just below the surface. The high-buoyancy design, with increased internal body volume, delivers a sharp action and light retrieve feel that are difficult to imagine from its size.

The lineup includes the WALKER, featuring a tall, fat body with an approximately 30-degree floating posture that produces a tight, short-distance walk-the-dog action along with strong water displacement and splashes, and the SKATER, whose slim body and near-horizontal floating posture excel at wide, sweeping skating action. Sound models feature the Variable Balancer System, combining variable balancer weights that move randomly according to the lure’s posture with wave-shaped rails to produce an irregular action and distinctive bumpy sound. Silent models use fixed weights. The V-shaped oval cup creates an air-filled boiling sound. A through-wire construction extending from the line eye to the hook eyes and swivel-style hook eyes that follow the fish during the fight are employed. The hooks are #3/0, and the split rings are #5.
