deps SILENT KILLER is a big bait featuring a unique construction in which a core molded from rigid foamed resin is covered with a realistic soft shell, based on the concepts of subtle vibration and a soft sound. The soft shell suppresses noise caused by the body sections contacting each other at the joint, while the shell extending beyond the core of the front body elastically pushes the rear body back, creating secondary action and a soft vibration. In addition, a water-through duct positioned between the hard body and soft shell draws in water during the retrieve and releases it through the joint. Combined with the slight flex of the soft shell, this produces a lifelike swimming action. The impact-resistant polycarbonate square lip contributes to a sharp action and effective obstacle deflection, allowing the lure to be worked across a wide range from the surface to subsurface depths. On a slow retrieve, it tracks the surface with a subdued wake and subtle vibration, while dead-sticking it in current or waves takes advantage of its slow-floating setting to create a natural presentation. When cranked, it can be used at depths of approximately 1.0–1.5 m. The standard hook size is #1 for the 175 and #3 for the Jr. The 175 measures 175 mm and is in the 2.5 oz class, while the Jr. measures 145 mm and is in the 1.5 oz class. When storing the lure, avoid setting or deformation of the soft shell caused by high temperatures, and dry it after use to drain any water from inside.
