DECOY’s Switch Bomb VJ-78 is a jointed-head rig that lets you switch between the distinct characteristics of snag resistance and bottom-holding ability by changing the orientation of the head. It combines a Switch Head with a detachable eye and the offset Kilo Hook Worm 17, using a structure in which the weight and hook are connected with a degree of flexibility. This design minimizes interference with the worm’s movement, helping it produce its natural action.
The head features a delta shape and can be set facing either direction. In Mode A, which prioritizes reduced pulling resistance and easy passage through cover, it can be configured for smoothly working around cover. In Mode B, which uses its flat surface to catch water and reduce forward movement, it is suited to bottom manipulation and presentations that remain nearly in one spot. In addition to pitching into cover and generating attraction along the bottom, it can also be used for midwater swimming with a shake retrieve. Available sizes include #1/0-3.5 g, #1/0-5 g, #2/0-7 g, #2/0-9 g, #3/0-11 g, and #3/0-14 g, allowing you to choose according to the worm being used, target depth, and desired operating feel.
