DAIWA’s STEEZ BUZZ BAIT was developed under the supervision of Shuya Akabane, an avid buzzbait angler, with an emphasis on quick startup and sound production. The prop is slightly oversized and finely tuned to achieve both casting distance and rapid action startup. Its design, including the curve of the blade, produces the ideal spray and sound, making it easy to get the bait moving smoothly across the surface immediately after landing while also providing a light, effortless retrieve. The rivet features a shape that increases its contact area with the prop, producing a distinctive squeaking sound during operation.

The head is made of lead, making this buzzbait suitable for quickly locating active bass by capitalizing on its surface appeal. After the cast, retrieve it across the surface while rotating the prop, efficiently searching the top layer with its quick startup, spray, and sound. The hook features DAIWA’s SaqSas fluorine-based special plating, enhancing penetration compared with conventional painted hooks. This configuration also takes short bites into consideration—an important factor when fishing a buzzbait, where strikes tend to be aggressive.
