DAIWA’s DROWN DRAGONFLY is a floating lure developed to realistically recreate dragonflies found throughout the country, enticing fish with its floating posture and subtle manipulation. In addition to its instantly recognizable dragonfly appearance, it features buoyant hollow rubber wings. The matte gray SaqSas hook is designed to resemble a dragonfly’s legs, enhancing the overall realism.
The soft tail is made from an elastomer resin that provides both buoyancy and weight for improved castability. When worked, the tail sways to create an enticing action. The tail attachment uses a jointed structure that allows upward movement without dropping downward, helping the body bend during a bite and reducing the chance of the lure being rejected. The basic presentation is to leave it stationary after casting, or entice fish by creating ripples on the surface with subtle shakes. It measures 72 mm, has a standard weight of 2.8 g, and features a floating design. The standard hook is a SaqSas #10.
