Daiwa Steez Pop Crackers

DAIWA’s STEEZ POP CRACKER is a floating soft bait designed to entice fish with a walking-the-dog action from the surface to just below the surface. Unusually for a topwater walking bait, it is made from a soft-plastic material, allowing the action to be adjusted from slow to fast according to the strength of the rod movement. Depending on how it is worked, it can produce anything from a skimming action across the surface to a presentation that dips just below the surface.

The mouth is designed with a cupped shape that creates water displacement with small splashes while keeping forward movement to a minimum. The body features three low-profile protrusions for concealing the hook, allowing the bait to deflect minimal weeds and debris while making it easier for the hook to come free when a fish bites, as the soft-plastic material around the protrusions breaks away. A deep slit is provided on the belly, exposing the hook point when a fish bites to promote solid hooksets. The arrow printed on the head indicates the recommended hook-insertion height, marking the position that makes it easier to achieve the ideal action. The 3.1-inch model measures 79 mm in length and weighs approximately 4.7 g as standard; with the hook attached, its total weight exceeds 5 g, taking casting distance into consideration.
