Smith Neomag Hook Keeper

SMITH’s NEOMAG HOOK KEEPER is a magnetic hook keeper developed to reduce line tangling and the hassle of attaching and removing hooks, which can occur when hooking them onto a rod guide or a conventional hook keeper. The unit uses a neodymium magnet, allowing the hook to attach and stay in place simply by bringing it close. Since no hooking action is required, it enables smooth lure storage while moving.

The hook keeper attaches to the rod by positioning the unit anywhere on the blank using a rubber ring. Because it is mounted via the rubber ring, its position can be adjusted to suit the rod being used. The secured hook can be released from the magnet by pulling it, allowing you to resume fishing immediately after removing the hook upon arriving at a fishing spot. To use it, bring the hook close to the magnetic section of the unit to attach it. When removing the hook, pull the hook without forcibly moving the line. The hook may come loose due to rod vibration, so check that it is securely attached while moving.
