JACKALL’s Dempsey Jack is a soft bait developed to target the area just beneath the surface with “ultra”-quick turns. It is designed to sink ultra slowly when rigged with a hook, allowing anglers to keep it just below the surface with minimal forward movement while quickly making it turn side to side around pinpoint targets. The rubber skirt acts as a brake to limit forward movement, while the low-center-of-gravity design, created by the zinc weight on the belly, makes the quick-turn action easier to control.
The bait features an ultra-soft material and a hollow body that is designed to collapse easily when a fish bites. Its body incorporates deep ribs designed to improve the hooking rate, a section for accommodating the hook point, and a rib design that generates the turning action. The 42 uses 0.35 mm fine rubber, while the 50 uses 0.5 mm fine rubber. The 50 has a larger body and greater weight than the 42. The 42 weighs approximately 4.5 g and is designed for easy use with spinning or bait finesse tackle, while the 50 weighs approximately 7.5 g and is intended for approaching cover and structure with baitcasting tackle rated M or heavier.
To rig the hook, pass it outside the bamboo skewer that prevents the rubber skirt from slipping off. The 42 is compatible with the STLAZER 1/0 or SCYTHE 1/0, while the 50 is compatible with the SCYTHE 3/0.
