Jackall Sleek Mikey

JACKALL’s Sleek Mikey is a jointed big bait developed with an emphasis on bite-inducing appeal, using a tight action and moderate vibration to reduce the pressure exerted by the lure and trigger bites even in open or clear water. It is available in 90 mm, 115 mm, and 160 mm sizes to match the various sizes of baitfish found in Japan. The 160 is the largest model in the series, yet rather than the wide action common to big baits, it pursues a tight swimming action. All models are floating, with the 115 configured to target depths of approximately 2 m.

Internal sculpting inside the body enhances the transparency and depth of the belly, creating a three-dimensional appearance. A feather part at the rear of the body sways slowly during a slow retrieve and suppresses excessive action during a fast retrieve. It can be used with a basic steady retrieve, while changes in retrieve speed bring out variations in the feather movement and swimming action. The 90 is suited to both medium-light baitcasting and spinning tackle, the 115 to medium-power setups, and the 160 to MH- to H-power baitcasting rods. Custom models designed for Alabama rigs are also available for the 90 and 115, featuring custom wires and silicone tubes that help reduce tangles, along with an additional hook on the rear eye. In addition to the belly hook, these models also feature a rear hook, making it easier to convert the playful bites generated on an Alabama rig into solid hookups.
