JACKALL’s Geronimo CHICO is a small balsa crankbait developed for cover cranking. Its body is made of ultra-lightweight balsa wood, delivering a super-high float rate that is difficult to achieve with an ABS body. It combines snag-avoidance performance powered by its buoyancy with a powerful, high-pitch wobble-and-roll action generated by its lightweight body.
The crankbait’s core components that control its action—including the lip, line tie, and weights—use an “Ax Frame Structure” featuring a precision-molded, integrated ABS frame. This minimizes variations between individual lures caused by balsa wood, a natural material, for a more consistent fishing experience. With a 44 mm body, a floating configuration, and a weight of 6.8 g, it has a diving depth of approximately 1.5 m. When running it tightly along cover or around structure, it is designed to be retrieved quickly while maintaining contact with the cover, deflecting obstacles with its lip and enticing fish with a crisp action. For probing deeper water, it can be used alongside the Geronimo CHICO DR, which features the same 44 mm body but weighs 8.0 g and reaches a diving depth of approximately 2.0 m.
