Jackall Cover Craw

JACKALL’s COVER CRAW is a craw-style soft lure designed to be pitched deep into cover on a weightless rig, taking advantage of its high-density, salt-impregnated material. When rigged backward, the body produces a backslide action, sliding backward after entering the water to reach areas that are difficult to access with conventional casts, such as beneath bushes and laydowns. It is also designed with snag resistance in mind, allowing anglers to target heavy cover that would typically be fished with a weighted rig—while using a weightless setup.

The body is made from a high-density material, with the COVER CRAW 3-inch weighing approximately 7.5 g. The ribbed claws and gently curved, whisker-like appendages catch water to create a natural presentation during the fall and after reaching the bottom. Once on the bottom, the lure produces a “fall-over” action as the body tips over while its various appendages push water, along with a “flare” action as the claws spread open. When rigged in the standard orientation on a weightless rig, it maintains a horizontal posture while falling vertically, making it suitable for tight presentations along vertical seawalls and the edges of aquatic vegetation such as reeds. This is a highly versatile model that can be used with either a backslide or standard rigging, depending on the conditions.
