SHIMANO’s BANTAM WORLD MINNOW is equipped with Flash Boost, Jet Boost, and Scale Boost to enhance the fundamental performance of a minnow designed to show itself and trigger bites. Flash Boost suspends a reflective plate inside the body on a spring, producing subtle flashes not only during the retrieve, but also while the lure is paused or rising. Combined with Scale Boost’s multi-pitch hologram that imitates the scales of a baitfish, it visually attracts fish both during the action and while stationary.

Jet Boost is a mechanism designed to maximize initial casting speed, stabilize the lure’s posture in flight, and enable it to begin swimming quickly after landing, using a structure that supports a moving weight with a through shaft and spring. It responds well to rod movements, producing a stable swimming action on a steady retrieve, while twitches and jerks generate a sharp, darting action from side to side. The 115F is a floating model suited to being twitched around structure and then allowed to float upward. The 115SP is a suspending model, making it ideal for presentations that combine jerks and pauses to keep the lure in view while it remains stationary. The 115F measures 115 mm in length and weighs 14 g, while the 115SP measures 115 mm and weighs 17 g, allowing anglers to choose between them according to the desired buoyancy setting.
