SHIMANO’s BANTAM SWAGY STRONG 3/8 oz DW is a double-willow spinnerbait designed for use around cover, combining the Swagy series’ strong appeal with increased wire strength. It features thicker wire than the original model, while the lower arm, which is more prone to stress, is designed to resist deformation. Meanwhile, the upper arm that transmits blade vibration uses tapered wire with a thinner profile, delivering durability while conveying blade vibration to the head and skirt.

The head features a low-center-of-gravity design made from tin and tungsten. By concentrating the tungsten on the bottom of the head, it helps maintain a stable position during fast retrieves and quickly recovers its position after coming through obstacles such as cover. The 3/8 oz model is suited to probing shallow water from close range. In addition to a standard retrieve, it can be pitched into cover or used to search from the surface to near the bottom by adjusting retrieve speed and depth. The double-willow configuration is designed to maximize flash and vibration, while its blade water resistance and pull are easy to feel during slow retrieves. It comes standard with a #2/0 hook and can also be rigged with a trailer hook as conditions require.
