ZAPPU’s HITCH HOOK is an assist hook developed to catch short bites and bites that only make contact with the tail—common occurrences when using soft swimbaits, shad-tail worms, and swimming jig trailers. The hook position can be adjusted to match the lure size, adding a hooking point toward the tail.
The hook features a RYUGI TC-coated hook connected to a custom long swivel via two split rings. The swivel allows the hook to move freely, while ZAPPU’s original double worm keeper holds the worm securely. It also features a soft tube that makes it easy to attach and remove while helping maintain its position. When in use, select the type that matches the lure size; M is shown as an example for soft swimbaits, while S is recommended for swimming jigs and shad-tail soft baits. Sizes are based on the length between the split rings: SS is 16 mm with a #2 hook, S is 26 mm with a #2 hook, M is 31 mm with a #1 hook, L is 44 mm with a #1 hook, and LL is 64 mm with a #1/0 hook. Only the SS model is set with the worm keeper on the line-eye side.
