Gary Yamamoto’s 4.4” HUGGER was produced by Ken Iyobe and developed as a crawfish-imitating, backslide-style soft bait. It features long-casting performance that takes advantage of its substantial weight, along with a wide backslide range.
The body is equipped with numerous fine arm- and leg-like appendages, while the legs positioned on both sides function like stabilizers. Maintaining a parallel balance, it produces an action that allows it to slide deep into cover. It is primarily suited to weightless backsliding and can be pitched along the edges of cover or sent deep into cover. It can also be used with light Texas rigs and free rigs. Measuring 4.4 inches in length and weighing 12.5 g, it is designed for easy use not only from a boat but also from the bank, where casting accuracy and cover fishing are essential.
