Gary International’s Gary YAMAMOTO 5″ PRO-SENKO is a Senko-style straight worm developed with finesse presentations in mind for neko rigging. Its defining feature is the tapered tail at the rear of the body, which produces ultra-fast, subtle vibrations during the fall and when worked. This design adds presence through the tail’s fine vibrations while enticing fish without significantly moving the body.

The basic rigging method is a neko rig, with the hook inserted near the center of the worm and a nail sinker or similar weight inserted into the nose. Along the bottom, the tail can be made to vibrate subtly with light shaking or dragging, and the bait can then be paused after moving to present it on the fall. Official examples of use beyond neko rigging also include midwater swimming and drop-shotting. In the midwater column, the tail’s subtle vibrations can be utilized while swimming the bait at a steady speed. With a drop-shot rig, the sinker maintains the desired depth while rod movements add subtle action. In addition to the standard 5″ PRO-SENKO, the ECO 5″ PRO-SENKO is also available.
