KEITECH’s Shaky Football Jig Head is an improved version of the traditional shaky head, designed to keep a soft plastic standing naturally on the bottom while probing around weeds and cover. The football-shaped head is designed to resist tipping over on the bottom and help keep the hook point facing upward. With the head positioned slightly below the soft plastic, the balance allows the bait to float slightly above the bottom and makes it easier to bring out its action.

When the head is lightly hung against a rock or similar cover and line tension is applied, the hook rises around the head as a pivot point, making it easier to impart action to the soft plastic while keeping the rig stationary. The original screw-lock component secures the soft plastic straight and helps prevent it from slipping even after repeated casting and manipulation. Keeping the hook point aligned with the soft plastic also helps maintain weedless performance. To use it, let the rig reach the bottom and slowly drag it along the bottom while working the rod vertically. When the rig catches on something, slowly bend the rod tip to adjust the tension. If it does not come free, avoid over-tensioning the line and make small back-and-forth movements with the rod tip to shake the rig loose. Available with multiple weights and in #2/0 and #3/0 hook sizes, allowing you to choose according to the soft plastic used and the depth being fished.
