MORRIS CO., LTD.’s Through Down Shot Leader is designed to reduce the time and effort required to reconfigure your rig, allowing you to quickly change the drop-shot leader length to suit conditions on the water. Featuring a quick-change system, it attaches to a ring offset hook with a single touch. You can switch from a weightless rig or leaderless drop shot to a drop-shot rig without retying your line. It also helps reduce line twist, which can occur with heavy drop-shot rigs, while the thicker, stiffer leader is less likely to slip into gaps in cover, making it suitable for approaches around cover and structure.

The leader is available in EX Short 2 cm, Short 6 cm, and Long lengths of 13 cm, 20 cm, and 30 cm. Choose the length to suit the situation, including the 2 cm option, which helps keep the worm from becoming buried in muddy bottoms, or other lengths suited to weeds, structure, and the fish’s line of sight. To use, combine it with a ring offset hook and sinker to set up a drop-shot rig. After the sinker reaches the bottom, the weight of the worm causes the leader to bow, and as the tension returns, it creates an action that makes the worm dart out irregularly. Another feature is that you can prepare the rigs in advance and adjust the length on the water simply by changing the leader.
