Caltiva Jikarig

C’ultiva’s Jikarig is a direct-rig-style worm hook designed with an integrated sinker and ring hook for smooth entry into weeds. The JR-10 combines a uniquely shaped tungsten weight with a ring hook to provide casting distance and a stable flight attitude. After landing, its sinker shape helps it slip through cover and weeds, making it easier to approach these areas. During retrieves, the ring hook helps avoid restricting the worm’s movement while also providing sensitivity when working the rig.

Because the entire rig is compact, it presents the worm on a straight-line setup distinct from Texas and Carolina rigs, making it suitable for fishing around cover, including punching. The JR-10 is available in hook sizes 1, 1/0, 3/0, and 5/0, with 3/16 oz and 1/4 oz weights. The Mame Jika Hook, a ring hook sold separately, features a smaller configuration than the JR-10 and is designed for use with worms in the 2- to 3-inch range. The ring expands the hook’s range of movement, helping maximize the worm’s natural action, and the hook can also be used with rigs other than a direct rig.
