Gamakatsu Hanger FC-L

Gamakatsu’s THEORIZE HANGER FC-L is a trout hook designed specifically for “fast contact”—aggressively setting the hook after detecting a bite. Intended for situations where short bites continue during finesse fishing, it is primarily designed for a head-hanger setup, in which the hook is lightly inserted through the head of the worm, and is built to accommodate an active hook-setting technique.

It features a long, tapered point and a Nano Smooth coating that reduces friction, balancing contact sensitivity and penetration performance. In addition to neko rigs using slim, straight worms, it is also suitable for drop-shot, split-shot, and Carolina rigs. It is well suited to techniques in which the point is inserted through the worm’s head and the angler sets the hook aggressively upon feeling a bite. Available in sizes #12 through #2, it can be selected according to the worm size and presentation, from finesse fishing with spinning tackle to neko rigs using long worms in the 8-inch class. As the light model in the THEORIZE HANGER FC series, it is designed for situations where delicate worm control and quick hook-ups are the priorities.
