Gamakatsu Treble Hook

Gamakatsu treble hooks are a replacement treble hook series that can be selected according to the plug’s intended application, body shape, and the desired balance of penetration and holding power. The Standard Treble S-SP MH features a redesigned shape matched to the resilient characteristics of its high-carbon steel construction, with inward-facing hook points. It uses a standard barb configuration and is finished with Gamakatsu’s Hyper Shield coating for rust resistance, while also taking fish retention after hookup into consideration. Its wire diameter and weight are compatible with the Treble SP series, making it an easy choice when replacing existing hooks.

The Treble RB M is made with tournament-grade wire for excellent strength and durability, and features a Magic Eye for easy attachment to split rings, along with a micro barb. Compared with the SP, the RB has a longer shank designed to prioritize easy penetration. The short-shank design is well suited to plugs with short body lengths and triple-hanger plugs where the hooks are prone to interfering with one another. When replacing hooks, use the size of the hooks originally fitted to the lure as a guide, then select between the S-SP’s hook-point shape and standard barb and the RB’s shank length and Magic Eye according to the application and plug shape.
