The OSP METAL BLADE JIG is a blade jig designed to deliver both the sound produced by the metal blade consistently striking the head and a quick, responsive action. The uniquely shaped metal blade features an umbrella-like lower section that makes it more likely to contact the head, producing a distinct sound. By reducing excessive sideways roll of the blade, the jig maintains a stable head and hook position, improving the response generated by its fast vibration and enhancing its snag resistance.
The head features a center-balanced design that combines responsiveness with smooth cover penetration. It is less likely to lose its posture when climbing over structure, while the flat underside also makes it suitable for skipping. A high-strength Gamakatsu hook is used, and the relatively thick brush guard improves snag resistance around cover while minimizing its effect on hooksets. The jig also features a peg-hole system to prevent the trailer worm from slipping; it can be secured by inserting a peg, such as a toothpick, through the hole. Available weights include 3/16 oz, 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz, and 1/2 oz, as well as the ECO 3/8 oz model for eco tournaments. The 3/16 oz model uses the smallest blade and hook in the series, making it easier to pair with more compact trailer worms.
