OSP Eco Over Ride (OVER RIDE ECO) is a metal vibration lure developed not only for reaction fishing during the cold-water season, but also for use in high-pressure conditions and throughout the peak season. The Eco model is available in 3/16 oz. (5.4 g) and 1/4 oz. sizes. The 3/16 oz. model features a compact 38 mm body that is easy to handle from the bank, while from a boat it is intended for relatively shallow water in the 2–10 m depth range. It is also suited to situations where matching small bait is important or a slower approach is needed in tough conditions.
The body shape is designed to prioritize long-casting performance, depth retention during a straight retrieve, and lift-and-fall action. On the lift, it starts swimming quickly and produces a sharp, high-pitch vibration. On the fall, it delivers a sliding fall not only straight down but also on right and left curves, enticing fish with the contrast between this action and its strong vertical movement. The 3/16 oz. model’s center-biased weight balance helps prevent the hooks from tangling with the line during repeated lift-and-fall retrieves, while its sideways-sliding fall is designed to resist snagging in weed areas. The basic presentation is a lift and fall from the bottom, but it can also be used by letting the lure load and pause before lifting it vertically. On models with selectable line-tie positions, the normal position produces a stable vibration, while the front eye is suited to fast retrieves and the rear eye to slow retrieves or maintaining depth near the bottom. The 3/16 oz. model is equipped with size #10 hooks and a size #0 snap.
