OSP HP Minnow

O.S.P’s HP MiNNOW is a minnow-shaped soft bait designed to trigger bites not only from actively feeding fish, but also from neutral fish, with natural movement reminiscent of a baitfish. It is available in 3.1-inch, 3.7-inch, and 5-inch sizes, with the 3.1-inch model tuned for a super-slow sink rate. When used weightless with an I-shaped action, it minimizes wobble; on a straight retrieve, the rear of the body trembles with a wave-like motion; and with subtle shakes, the V-tail produces fine vibrations. The 3.7-inch model emphasizes a balance between ease of handling, thanks to its moderate weight, and bite-inducing performance.

The body features a vertically and horizontally symmetrical Mirror BODY construction, designed to maintain performance even when the hook orientation is changed. The head shape, which evenly disperses water flow, and the side concaves stabilize the bait’s posture during slow retrieves. The through-type long slit makes it easy to rig an offset hook straight and produces a side-to-side darting action, as well as vibrations created by water flowing through the slit. The 3.1-inch and 3.7-inch models are compatible with straight or skin-hooking on small hooks, offset hooks, drop-shot rigs, jig heads, split-shot rigs, Carolina rigs, and more. In addition to I-shaped presentations, the 5-inch model is designed for an “escape action” aimed at fish that end their pursuit without biting, and can be used with jig heads, weightless rigs, nail rigs, swivel Carolina rigs, free rigs, and as a bladed jig trailer. The suspension bridge inside the slit allows the action to be adjusted: leave it intact for a wider action, or cut it for a tighter action.
