OSP Drive Shad

OSP’s DOLIVE SHAD is a shad-tail soft bait designed to create bite opportunities through self-generated action not only during the retrieve, but also on the fall. As the body sways and the tail flutters, it produces a falling action that resembles a baitfish swimming toward the bottom. It can be cast along cover and fished on the fall, then retrieved if no reaction occurs, making it suitable for a combination of swimming and falling presentations. At dead-slow speeds, the tail kicks firmly, while at fast retrieve speeds, it delivers stable swimming action along with sound and splashes generated by its buzzing action.

The body features ribs inside the slits, allowing the hook point to initially be embedded in the ribs and then inserted into the bottom of the slits after the ribs tear. This step-by-step hook-setting design makes the bait easier to use repeatedly. The 4.5-inch model is suitable for weightless rigs, Texas rigs, and as a trailer for rubber jigs and bladed swim jigs. When rigged weightless, it produces wobbling and rolling on a standard retrieve; when Texas-rigged, it vibrates the body and tail during a free fall with a light sinker or a slow retrieve. The 3.5-inch model is suited to weightless rigs, light Texas rigs, jigheads, jig trailers, and Carolina rigs. The recommended hook size is a 1/0 wide-gap offset hook. The recommended hook size for the 4.5-inch model is a 4/0–5/0 offset hook.
