OSP HPF Crank

OSP’s HPF CRANK was developed to address the traditional weaknesses of flat-sided crankbaits—castability, snag resistance, and buoyancy—while enhancing ease of use and delivering a wide-ranging presence on a steady retrieve. It features a thin, square Super Full Flat Body and a Honeycomb Super HP Body, which is made thinner while maintaining the strength of ABS resin. Combined with the lightweight HP Slash Bill, this design produces an ultra-high-pitch action with an exceptionally fast start-up.

Inside, it is equipped with a large tungsten weight-transfer system and a Hole-in-One System, in which the moving weight settles into the fixed weight. During the cast, the weight shifts to create a stable flight posture. During the retrieve, the two weights unite into a single weight, producing the responsive swimming action characteristic of a flat-sided crankbait. Its nose-down posture, designed with consideration given to the lip angle, weights, and hook placement, allows it to be retrieved parallel to cover and along the edges of riprap or tetrapods. It is also effective to retrieve it while making contact with cover, then pause and let it float upward when it appears likely to snag. The lure measures 63 mm, weighs 9.8 g, and is a floating model. It comes with size #6 hooks. The HPF CRANK SPEC2 is a derivative model featuring fixed weights and a silent design, intended to produce a tight, stable swimming action that is less likely to make large deflections near cover.
