Evergreen Blue Point Shad

Evergreen’s Bull Point Shad is a 4.5-inch jig trailer designed to bring out the action of the Jack Hammer while enhancing the trailer’s presence and casting distance. The body section hidden behind the skirt is made bulky, while the exposed tail section is slim, providing sufficient weight while keeping the overall profile compact. Its design helps maintain a unified profile with the Jack Hammer, minimizes the tendency to dive into the water’s surface on entry, and makes the trailer easier to skip.

The inverted-triangular bulky body functions like a boat hull, improving stability during a straight retrieve and helping the bait recover after darting. The tail tip features a thin, flat fin with a deeply cut V-shaped profile, producing fine, high-pitch undulations and complex vibrations created by the slight difference in timing between the upper and lower fins. Three slits at the connection between the body and tail adjust the tail action according to retrieve speed, from slow to fast, while preventing excessive movement during a fast retrieve. The bulky body and deep ribs help prevent the rubber skirt from sticking to the trailer, allowing the skirt to flare and vibrate easily. A special formula is blended into the proprietary, relatively soft, high-density material. Compatible with the Jack Hammer, Jack Hammer TG, Jack Hammer SB, and Jack Hammer Baby Jack, it also features a thick head that helps minimize changes in left-right balance caused by misalignment when rigging it on the hook.
