Evergreen Jack Hammer SB

Evergreen’s Jack Hammer SB is a clear-blade model designed for use in sunny, calm conditions, clear water, and high-pressure situations. While inheriting the original model’s fundamental performance, it pursues a more natural silhouette, action, and sound. Developed jointly by Morizo Shimizu and Brett Hite, this bladed jig features a lightweight, high-strength polycarbonate blade that minimizes flash. The center section is designed for strength while the edges are made thin, producing a quick start-up and fine, fast, ultra-high-pitch, tight vibration. When the blade contacts the head, it also creates a sound reminiscent of a baitfish, offering a different appeal from silent models.

The wire eye, with ample spacing between the blade and head, combines stable straight tracking with a momentary, sideways slipping wobble. During the retrieve, rapidly cranking the handle two or three times allows the lure to dart with minimal effort before quickly returning to its swimming action. In weedy areas, it can also be used to hang the lure off after it catches on vegetation. The low-center-of-gravity, flat-profile head is designed for stable action, quick recovery after darting, and easy skipping. The slim silicone rubber skirt reduces the silhouette and water resistance, contributing to castability and maintaining the running depth. It is also equipped with a fluorocarbon-coated, fine-wire hook and upper and lower double-wire keepers. Available in 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz.
