Evergreen Bass Enemy

Evergreen’s Bass Enemy Stick is a pin-tail soft bait designed to imitate a variety of baitfish, with its silhouette, action, and vibration adjustable to suit different rigs. Its shape has been refined to look like a baitfish not only from the side, but also when viewed by fish from below or above. The relatively thin, flattened flat-sided body and softer material create a natural, full-body undulating action. In addition to the flash-and-fade effect produced by the body’s rolling action, the ribbed, flattened pin tail responds to even the slightest resistance to generate subtle vibrations. The standard colors use a softer formulation with a higher salt content to prioritize action, while the Reverse colors available in the 4-inch model contain less salt for increased buoyancy and durability.

The weed guard, which also serves as a balancer, not only helps reduce snags when fishing a jig head rig, but also allows you to adjust the roll range and pitch through combinations of leaving it intact or trimming it off, and rigging the jig head through the center or with a shallow insertion. The 3- and 4-inch models are suited to mid-strolling, neko rigs, and jig head wacky rigs. With a mid-strolling presentation, they produce a horizontal rolling action, while on a neko rig, they deliver a fall accompanied by subtle tail vibrations. The 5-inch model is designed for Texas rigs, free rigs, and weightless rigs, handling spiral falls through cover as well as irregular sliding darts produced by jerks and twitches. When using an offset hook, the hook can be positioned using the dorsal slit and ribs as guides, with a choice between burying only the hook point or embedding the entire hook throat across multiple ribs.
