Evergreen Zeruch

EVERGREEN’s Zeruch is a full-size shallow-running crankbait designed for targeting big fish in shallow water. Over approximately 10 years of development and testing, Shimizu Seizo pursued the ideal action for this lure. It measures 72 mm, weighs 19.5 g, and features a floating design with a diving range of 1.2–1.5 m. Its body shape lies between a round and flat-sided profile, using its slightly flattened sides to push water while producing the natural rolling action and flash effect inherited from the Wild Hunch.

The lip features a hybrid shape combining square, coffin, and round profiles. In addition to the lip, the recessed head is designed to catch water, delivering both a sharp action and excellent tracking stability when retrieved quickly. The low-center-of-gravity fixed weights at the front and rear contribute to a quick start immediately after splashdown and help the lure recover after losing balance upon contacting cover. Its fully silent design minimizes weight movement, while the sharply tapered tail supports a stable flight posture and improved casting distance. An offset front hook eye helps the short-lipped lure deflect away from cover, and both the front and rear are equipped as standard with Treble Magic #4 treble hooks. It accommodates a wide range of presentations, from open water to grass and wood cover, including fast retrieves. It differs in size and diving range from the smaller Zeruch Petit (60 mm, 13.0 g, diving range: 1.1–1.3 m).
