EVERGREEN’s Clutch Hitter is a super-shallow runner developed to quickly search ultra-shallow water, allowing you to target fish that do not come all the way to the surface. It covers everything from waking just beneath the surface down to approximately 30 cm, and dives to around 30 cm on a standard retrieve. By adjusting the rod angle and retrieve speed, you can efficiently work shallow banks, areas around cover, and expansive weed beds.
A weight that also serves as a rattle is positioned in the rear of the body, providing a stable flight posture and long casting distance through its fixed center of gravity. Its composite low-frequency sound, produced by two materials—tungsten and stainless steel—further draws fish in. The combination of an ultra-thin 0.8 mm circuit-board lip and a fixed low-center-of-gravity weight allows the lure to start swimming easily immediately after landing, while producing a high-pitch, wide-wobbling roll action from slow to fast retrieves. The round body shape emphasizes the tail swing, and the wide lip and wide action allow it to quickly recover its posture after contacting cover. When the retrieve is stopped, it also produces a lingering action, wobbling the body as it slowly rises. It is a floating lure measuring 5.8 cm and weighing 12.5 g, equipped as standard with a No. 5 Treble Magic hook on the front and a No. 6 Treble Magic hook on the rear.
