Evergreen Fact

Evergreen’s FACT is a lure series centered around the TG Blow, developed to deliver the reaction-bite triggering power and bottom-hugging control that Ken Fukushima demands from a football jig. The TG Blow features a compact football head made from high-density, sintered tungsten (specific gravity: approximately 18). Compared with lead or resin-based tungsten, the head can be made smaller, allowing for a faster fall while producing the heightened sensitivity and bottom-tapping sound characteristic of the hard material.

While lowering the center of gravity, weight is also distributed toward the keeper section of the head. This design suppresses lifting on the hook side, helps prevent the jig from rolling onto its side, and makes it easier to keep the jig in contact with the bottom. The compact head reduces snagging on the bottom, and the brush guard further helps minimize hang-ups. To handle bass that strike reactively, the jig uses an original hook that is not excessively thick. It also features a wire keeper to prevent trailer slippage and a low-resistance, fine-cut silicone rubber skirt, producing a fast fall and crisp action.

During use, the TG Blow can be kept on the bottom and crawled along at a steady rhythm, or hopped with rod movements to trigger reaction bites. The rubber skirt is pre-cut to an easy-to-use length, and the number of brush-guard fibers can be adjusted to suit the conditions. The 3/8 oz model is recommended for use with the Scarpin 3.5-inch as a trailer.
