Water Land New Swimmer

WaterLand’s New Swimmer is the fourth-generation “NEW Angel Swimmer,” a blade jig with a unique integrated design combining the metal blade, head, and hook to produce an enticing action even on a steady retrieve. The metal blade is secured to a triangular-prism-shaped head, while the snap connects through a hole in the blade. As the thin blade catches the water and rotates, it generates a complex action combining wobble and roll. The blade rotates easily even on a dead-slow retrieve, making it suitable for covering a consistent depth while varying the retrieve speed.

The basic presentation is a steady retrieve, but it can also be used for buzzing just below the surface, lift-and-fall techniques, and a rod-work dog-walk action. It is also well suited to trailer setups that take advantage of the head’s movement, and can be paired with straight-bodied soft plastics such as pintail-style baits or with grub-style worms. The eye-and-hook-connected construction is another distinctive feature, keeping the components around the hook simple. Weights including 20 g and 30 g are available, allowing anglers to choose according to the target depth, fall speed, current, and water depth.
