WaterLand’s Super Snap is a reproduction of a snap that was imported into Japan until the 1970s. It is designed to allow quick lure changes while helping bring out the lure’s natural action. Available sizes are #00, #0, #1, #2, #3, and #4, allowing you to choose the appropriate size according to the lure’s size and weight.
Sizes #1 through #4 feature thicker arms for each size, providing enhanced strength. Made with heavier wire than slim snaps, they allow you to select the appropriate size for the lure being used, including crankbaits, minnows, topwater lures, and heavier lures. As a general guideline, #00 is suitable for lures up to 4 g, #0 for 2–4 g, #1 for 5–15 g, #2 for 7–30 g, #3 for 15–140 g, and #4 for 30–300 g.
To use, attach the snap with the line tied to it to the lure’s eye. When changing lures, detach and attach the snap by opening and closing its connection point at the eye. Since there is no need to retie the line every time you change lures, it is suitable for fishing with multiple lures selected according to the conditions. As the wire diameter and compatible lure weight vary by size, the basic guideline is to choose the size after checking the size of the lure’s eye and the weight of the lure being used.
