IMAKATSU’s Elite Craw High Float is a claw-style soft lure designed to take advantage of its high buoyancy for suspended presentations and shaking. When rigged on an Abberaba, it is also designed to help the worm maintain a natural horizontal posture. Based on the standard model, it features a slim body with relatively thick claws, creating a front-weighted silhouette that helps stabilize its flight attitude during casting. Underwater, the entire body moves flexibly in response to shaking. The High Float model’s buoyancy makes it easier to maintain its posture when suspended, while also helping the worm stand up on the bottom. Even in areas where mud or fallen leaves have settled, the entire lure is less likely to sink into the bottom substrate, helping keep the hook point and body visible to bass. In addition to shaking the lure while suspending it as an Abberaba trailer, it can also be used for shaking and dragging along the bottom, and official examples also introduce its use with a free rig. Available in 3-inch and 3.5-inch sizes, it can be selected according to cover, bait size, and the desired amount of bulk. The 3-inch size is suited to situations where maintaining the lure’s posture is important, such as when used with an Abberaba, while the 3.5-inch size is suited to free-rigging and bottom presentations where a stronger presence is desired.
