Imakatsu Super Killer Bill

IMAKATSU’s SUPER KiLLER BiLL is a jointed long-bill minnow designed to trigger feeding in low-activity conditions. While inheriting the genes of the Killer Bill Minnow, it has been redesigned in a size that is easy to handle with spinning tackle. This suspending model measures 9.0 cm and weighs 8 g, with a basic casting range of approximately 1–2 m.

The combination of the jointed body and the highly flexible, durable elastomer tail allows the entire body to flex even with a light twitch, producing sideways sliding darts and an irregular, body-twisting action. The joint also continues to wriggle while the lure is paused, and the lure can be used for dead-sticking, with the tail moving in even slight current. Its large lip provides excellent snag avoidance. When the lip contacts rocks or other obstacles, you can pause the lure, then use consecutive twitches after the pause to make it rise and clear the obstacle.

The basic retrieve is a retrieve-and-kill approach, with jerking, ripping, twitching, and pumping retrieves used according to conditions. The Killer Tail System (PAT.P), which secures the rear hook by inserting it into the anal fin, is designed to prevent the hook from drooping when the lure comes to rest in a near-upright position and to handle short bites in which fish only peck at the tail. To set it up, open the W-hook, insert the fin into the gap, and pull to shape it into position. A spare tail is included.
