IMAKATSU’s JAVALLON is a high-density soft jointed bait developed to combine the swimming action of a swimbait with the fish-catching appeal of a soft plastic worm. This model, which has been part of the lineup since the company’s early days, has been reissued using the original mold design, materials, and manufacturing facility. Its accordion-style body, made up of distinctive interconnected block sections, grips the water along its entire length, producing a soft, full-body undulating action and vibration during the retrieve. JAVALLON 160 is available in a range of colors, including 3D Realism patterns, combining a lifelike appearance with a natural, life-like movement throughout the body.

The standard presentation is a weightless rig, retrieved slowly enough to keep the bait moving, and swum from the surface to just below the surface. It can also be used for topwater buzzing, falling presentations, deadsticking and dragging along the bottom. With a Texas rig, it is suitable for swimming, vertical falls, and bottom fishing. Other compatible rigs include drop shot, nail-weighted, jig head, and heavy Carolina rigs. The standard offset hook sizes are 5/0 for the 160 and 10/0 for the 200. JAVALLON MONSTER 200 includes a hook and a coil integrated beneath the chin to help prevent the body from tearing when the hook is set. The 160 and 200 differ not only in size, but also in their recommended hooks and rigging setups.
