ZOOM Super Fluke

ZBC (Zoom Bait Company)’s Zoom Super Fluke is a minnow-shaped soft bait designed to dart from side to side in response to rod movements. Its slim, water-shedding body features a belly slit that makes it easy to conceal the hook point, along with a forked tail that reacts to subtle inputs, creating a baitfish-like profile and action. Rather than a design with a tail that moves aggressively on its own, it is built to produce a variety of actions—such as darting, gliding, and drifting—when twitches, jerks, and falls are combined.

It is typically rigged weightless with a 3/0–4/0 hook and can be worked with twitches, nudges, and pops after landing, followed by a fall. In addition to retrieving it just below the surface while making it escape from side to side, its slim body allows it to be guided along cover edges. In cover that is not overly dense, it can also be cast into the cover and darted. Officially recommended applications besides weightless rigging include use as a trailer for spinnerbaits and jig blades, as well as Carolina rigs, shaky heads, split-shot rigs, and jighead rigs. With a jighead, it can be rigged either with the hook point exposed or concealed within the body.
