Tokai Ion F-sinker

Tokai Ion Co., Ltd.’s F-SINKER was developed with the idea that fish can be stimulated to feed not only by the sinker’s shape and action, but also by its scent. Scent components are infused into the sinker itself and released underwater. The iron body contains a proprietary blend of garlic-based scent combined with either fish or shrimp scent, with two varieties available: Garlic × Fish and Garlic × Shrimp. Its construction allows the scent components to permeate the sinker and gradually diffuse after the rig is placed in the water.

Because it is made of iron, which has a lower specific gravity than lead or tungsten, the body is larger than that of a conventional sinker of the same weight. This increased size is used to create a shape that is less likely to become wedged between rocks or in gaps. Two shapes are available—round and bullet—with weights of 3.5 g, 5 g, and 7 g. Switching between the round and bullet shapes allows anglers to vary bottom contact and how the sinker moves through areas around cover and obstructions. The official product information also introduces a setup using only the F-SINKER and a hook, making it possible to fish with the scented sinker and hook combination without adding bait such as a soft plastic lure.
