GRASSROOTS’ RUNBBIT is a shallow-diving crankbait that combines a high-response action with a skinny shape designed to keep excessive attraction to a minimum. Despite its slim, bite-inducing body, it delivers the water displacement characteristic of a crankbait while maintaining an action powerful enough to draw in bass. It was developed for easy handling in high-pressure waters and areas with limited cover. This floating model measures 58 mm in length, weighs 9 g, and dives to a maximum depth of 1.5 m.

The sharp head shape readily generates roll, contributing to a light retrieve feel and quick action on the retrieve. Although it has a skinny shape, the tail is not made excessively thin, ensuring sufficient water displacement from its wobble. The body is weighted toward the tail to stabilize its flight posture during casting, with attention also given to accuracy and casting distance. The circuit-board lip has a reduced surface area while maintaining snag-deflection performance, producing a sharp, high-response action with a flashing effect. On a standard retrieve, the tail pushes water firmly, while a slow retrieve transitions the lure into a tight action centered around its roll.

The standard hooks are DECOY Treble Y-F33F #6. They feature fine wire, sharp points, and a fluorine surface treatment for excellent penetration, making them suitable for fishing with rods made from low-modulus materials. When probing deeper water, the RUNBBIT MR, which shares the same skinny shape and circuit-board lip, can be selected instead. The MR is a 58 mm, 9 g floating model with a maximum diving depth of 2.5 m. Its action strength and retrieve resistance are set to match those of the RUNBBIT, allowing anglers to choose between the two based purely on the difference in diving range.
