Beto Beto DP Minnow

BETOBETO’s DP MINNOW is an agile minnow designed for quick action from the start of the retrieve and straightforward handling. Based on Tsutomu Kawashima’s handmade minnow and developed into a plastic lure with the cooperation of Seiji Kato, the 108F features a fixed-weight system that produces rapid action as soon as the retrieve begins, delivering stable, tight wiggling from fast to slow retrieves. On a twitch, it creates a nose-down dart with limited side-to-side travel, designed to draw fish up from the lower part of the water column. Despite its slim 108mm body, it features a wide, rounded cross-section for improved balance and reduced air resistance when casting.

The 108SP is a suspending model with revised tuning based on the floating model, delivering crisp, well-defined action. In addition to creating a “moving and still” presentation that transitions from irregular movements produced by twitches and jerks into a pause, it is intentionally balanced in a head-up posture. With a light twitch, it moves with its head dipping down while limiting forward travel, creating a distinctive “bowing action.” Both models use flexible PP material for the lip, which can be replaced with a single touch. Cutting or replacing the lip to suit the application allows the action and diving depth to be adjusted. The 108F measures 108mm, weighs 11.0g, floats, and is equipped with size #6 hooks. The 108SP measures 108mm, weighs 12.0g, suspends, and is equipped with size #8 hooks.
